ORGANIZATION OF CONFERENCES
On November 25 and 26, 2021, a scientific and professional conference entitled “Mechanisms of recognition of domestic violence and socio-legal responses” was held in the Multifunctional Hall of the North Tower at the University of Split Campus. The conference was organized by the University Department of Forensic Sciences in cooperation with the Shelter for Children and Adults, Victims of Domestic Violence of the Caritas Archdiocese of Split on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and marking ten years of the Caritas Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The goal of the conference, by using interdisciplinary approach, is to identify risk factors for the occurrence of domestic violence, to provide guidelines for socially responsible behavior, to create preventive measures against domestic violence, to devise models for the reintegration of domestic violence victims into society, and to propose educational models at university departments as adequate preventive mechanisms for recognizing and suppression of domestic violence (conference program).

Center of excellence of natural sciences in 2021/2022 academic year included in its operation plan four workshops in forensic anthropology.
Workshops called Stories told by skeletons for students of 8th form of elementary school and 2nd and 3rd form of secondary school will be performed by assistant professor Željana Bašić, PhD and assistant professor Ivana Kružić, PhD, professors at the University Department for Forensic Science.
Other activities
