Dear students,
on July 24, 2009, the Senate of the University of Split established the “University Study Centre for Forensic Sciences.” This name was changed on September 26, 2011, to the “University Department of Forensic Sciences.” As of April 25, 2025, the official name is the “Faculty of Forensic Sciences.”
Our faculty offers a three-year university undergraduate program in Forensics, consisting of six semesters, as well as a two-year university graduate program in Forensics, which includes four semesters. Upon completing the undergraduate program, students are awarded the academic title of University Bachelor of Forensics (univ. bacc. forens.). After completing the graduate program, students receive the academic title of University Master of Forensics (univ. mag. forens.). This interdisciplinary Forensics study program is unique in the Republic of Croatia and neighboring countries, and students have the opportunity to choose from five study modules:
- Module I: Crime Scene Investigation
- Module II: Forensic chemistry and molecular biology
- Module III: Forensics and National Securities
- Module IV: Financial and Accounting Forensics
- Module V: Management in Firefighting and Fire Investigations.
In these modules, students are trained for exceptionally attractive and reputable professions in the field of forensics, for which demand is constantly growing worldwide.
