The staff of the Laboratory has been teaching and conducting research in the field of forensic genetics and biology for many years. Also, as part of their work, they were at numerous congresses and trainings in this area in Croatia and around the world. Besides scientific and teaching work, employees actively participate in the popularization of science with topics related to forensic genetics and biology.

Activities to date have included exercises for students in forensic biology and genetics courses, including on-site collection of biological traces, forensic processing of biological traces in the laboratory, DNA isolation procedures from suitable biological traces, DNA amplification and analysis methods, interpretation of results, testing paternity and use of DNA databases. Students are encouraged to engage in scientific research in these areas in collaboration with laboratory members.
